In 1988, the
National Urban League worked with the U.S.
Census bureau to create the Census Information
Center (CIC) program. It was one of the
five original CIC's, designed to expand
access to Census information for underserved
communities. Today the program includes
over 50 other organizations across the country.
The National Urban League's center is located
in its Policy Institute in Washington, D.C.
This center serves as a resource for the
National Urban League and its hundred-plus
affiliates to access Census and other relevant
information.
Please see the Policy Institute’s publications page for NUL fact sheets and reports that use Census data.
