55th Annual Equal Opportunity Day Awards Dinner

11/16/2011

For over five decades, the National Urban League has presented the EOD Award – its highest commendation – to stellar corporations, individuals and organizations that personify the League’s mission and have championed the principles of equal opportunity, civil rights and social justice.

Proceeds from the dinner benefit the League's programs and services in our five focus areas:

  • Education and Youth
  • Economic Empowerment
  • Health and Quality of Life
  • Civic Engagement
  • Civil Rights and Racial Justice

In addition, the National Urban League will also recognize organizations that have contributed $1 million or more to advance the work of the League by inducting them into NUL’s “Million and Five Million Dollar Hall of Fame Class”.

Past honorees include Ursula M. Burns, Oprah Winfrey, Hillary Rodham and William Jefferson Clinton, and Spike Lee, among others.
