URBAN LEAGUE PRESENTS STEPHANIE MILLS, FRANKIE BEVERLY AND MAZE AT 2003 ANNUAL CONFERENCE
Proceeds from Gala Benefit Concert to Support Urban League Programs
New York, NY, June 25, 2003—The National Urban League will heat up the historic Heinz Hall for the Performing Arts in Pittsburgh, Pa., this summer when Stephanie Mills and Frankie Beverly and Maze take the stage on Monday, July 28 at 8:00 p.m. for a gala benefit concert during the League\'s 2003 Annual Conference.
An exclusive performance for National Urban League Conference attendees, the concert will raise funds to support Urban League programs enacted at the more than 100 Urban League affiliates nationwide.
Concert sponsors are Anheuser-Busch Companies, The Coca-Cola Company, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, MBNA, Sony and Toyota. Tickets prices are $50, $75 and $125, and a private pre-gala reception sponsored by State Farm Insurance Companies Marriott International Inc. and Nissan is open to $125 ticket holders.

The National Urban League 2003 annual conference is July 26 through July 30 at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh, Pa. This year\\\'s theme is The Black Family: Building on its Resilience. The PNC Financial Services Group and Office Depot are the National Co-Chairs. The Urban League of Pittsburgh is the host affiliate and Equitable Resources, Inc. is the Chair of the local host committee.
Other National Urban League 2003 annual conference highlights include plenary sessions and workshops led by notable corporate, government and civil rights figures; and free admission to the following: "The Opportunity Showcase" exhibits hall, featuring products from hundreds of popular companies; the largest Career Fair targeting African Americans in the Pittsburgh area; an extensive Health Pavilion and an Art Expo & Marketplace featuring local artists.
